Oakridge College focuses on the growth of each learner and provides an environment which assists learners in acquiring basic skills, knowledge, attitudes and values which help them to function in society. In order to assist learners in their development and assess their development effectively, the school recognises and responds to the different teaching philosophies and individual needs of the learners. Education requires a process which constantly reviews and modifies existing structures and teaching strategies to guarantee that they are consistent with our visions and beliefs and acknowledges the changing world we live in.

This year Oakridge College will be participating in a social responsibility program called 'Breadtags for Wheelchairs'. The aim of the project is to collect breadtags and plastic lids from fizzy drinks, fruit juices, milk and other similar products which will then be recycled, in return a wheelchair will be purchased for someone in need. Please assist us in this collection - simply hand the breadtags and plastic lids in or drop them off at our school reception.

Oakridge is a small yet vibrant school. I enjoy the individual interaction and attention with my teachers, who teach us with passion.

Zama Dlomo (Oakridge Past Student)

As a parent of a 2009 matriculant at Oakridge College, I can say it was a great alternative to the normal school programme, as my daughter was very involved in swimming, and they went out of their way to accommodate her needs. She was very happy at Oakridge and has no regrets changing schools in grade 10 when choosing subjects. I notice the school has grown considerably since then, so obviously it is working for a lot of students.

Kate Fryer (Oakridge Past Parent)

My five years at Oakridge College were some of the best years of my life. Oakridge encouraged me to form and discover my own paths in life while providing a friendly and nurturing environment. I will forever cherish the special memories and amazing friendships formed with the other students at Oakridge College.

Cindy Coetzer (Oakridge Past Student)

I like Oakridge College because it allows you to grow as a person by giving you the opportunity to be independent.
